How to activate Closed Captions in your Visme project

Adding closed captions to your audio and video content ensures that your project is accessible to a wider audience. Whether you’re presenting or sharing your Visme project, activating captions can improve viewer comprehension. Follow these simple steps to activate closed captions in your project:

Navigate to the Visme project where you have audio or video content that you want to display with captions.

Locate the specific slide that contains the audio or video element you’d like to add closed captions to.

Click on the hamburger menu (three horizontal lines) in the top left corner of the Visme editor.

In the dropdown menu, look for the Closed Captions switch. Toggle it to turn on captions for your selected audio or video.

That’s all! You can now ensure your audience has access to captions.

Note: This feature does not apply to background music. Closed captions can only be activated for audio or video files added in the slide, not for music set as the project’s background sound.

Note: If you embed a video from an external platform such as YouTube, this caption feature will not work. In such cases, you should activate captions directly through the video platform.
