Applying Conditional Logic in Visme Forms

Conditional logic makes your forms smarter and more dynamic. It allows you to show or hide specific steps, display custom messages, redirect users, or even disqualify responses based on the user’s input. This creates a cleaner user experience and ensures you only collect relevant information.

After creating your form, click the Logic button located in the bottom right corner of the Form Builder to enable it.

Once enabled, you’ll see a visual map of your form’s questions laid out in a straight path. This is where you’ll create and adjust your logic routes.

Note: Each step includes a title, the questions, and additional options accessible via the hamburger menu (top right corner of the step).

For Single-Choice or Drop-Down fields, you can select multiple paths according to the chosen answer. Click the dropdown next to a question to view its possible answers.

Select an answer and drag a line from it to the next step you want the user to go to based on that answer.

Alternatively, you can click the “+” button next to an answer and choose the route from the dropdown. This sets the conditional path for that specific answer.

Note: If an answer isn’t assigned a route, it will automatically proceed to the next step in the default sequence.

Continue setting up logic for all relevant answers and steps to fully customize your form’s flow.

To change a route, hover over the connection line, click the red X to delete it, and then set a new path.

Important: If you have multiple questions in a single step, conditional logic will only apply to one question per step. For best results, use one question per step when applying conditional logic.
