Customizing and animating Gestures on Visme Forms

With custom gestures and interactive animations, Visme Forms gives you the power to reflect your brand’s personality and tone in every interaction.

Our patent-pending gesture animations are designed to boost engagement, draw attention, and ultimately drive more form submissions. Whether it’s a subtle wave or an enthusiastic thumbs-up, gestures help create a more human, relatable experience that encourages users to complete your form.

Follow the steps below to explore how to add, customize, and fine-tune gestures to bring your Forms to life:

Getting Started with Gesture Customization

1
Open the form editor and locate the interactive menu on the right side of your screen. At the top of this menu, choose how you’d like to bring your form to life—Gestures, Character, or None if you prefer a clean, static experience. For now, select Gestures to continue.

2
To begin customizing, go to the Gesture Style tab. Here, you can either personalize a preset gesture or start fresh by clicking the “+” under My Gestures. Browse through all available gestures, then click to select the one that best suits your form’s tone and personality.

3
Once you’ve selected a gesture, hover over it and click the Edit button that appears. This will open the Edit Hands menu.

4
If you’d like, give your gesture a new name to match your theme or simply for easy identification.

5
Next, choose a Skin Color and Nail Color from the Appearance dropdown. Pick the one that best aligns with your brand, audience or content.

6
To customize further, open the Sleeves section by clicking the arrow. Select a sleeve style and color that fits your aesthetic—or go for the None option if you prefer a minimalist look.

7
Do the same in the Accessories section to complete your gesture’s style. Choose from the available items, or select None if simplicity is your preference.

8
Once you’re happy with your design, click the Save Hand button at the top. Your customized gesture will now be available under My Gestures for future use.

Animating Your Gesture

1
After your gesture is fully customized, navigate to the Animation tab at the top. You’ll find two animation stages to personalize: Enter Stage and Ending Pose.

2
Start with Enter Stage. Scroll through the animation options and select the one that captures the energy or tone you want to convey or choose None if you prefer to keep things simple and static.

3
Then, move on to the Ending Pose. Choose a closing animation that feels like a natural conclusion.
