My Files: How to manage your assets

To save time and effort when managing your assests in Visme, you can easily organize your folders with a quick drag-and-drop motion, adding them to any main or sub-folders of your choice and filter your uploaded files into categories to find what you need faster. You can also perform actions within our media library (aka My Files) in bulk such as add labels, add files to canvas, move files to a folder and download or delete many files at once. Here’s how:

Access the My Files tab located in the sidebar along the left side of your screen and you’ll see a list that organizes your files by type. Select your preferred category, and all the files within it will be previewed on the screen.

For a better search, you can easily filter the files by your files, your team files, files used on projects, unused files or the recently uploaded files by clicking on the Filter button at the top left of the My Files area and selecting a category(es) from the dropdown menu.

Select the file(s) you would like to perform actions on by using the checkboxes on the left-hand side of each file.

Then, click the Bulk Actions button and select the action you would like to perform between Add Label, Add to Canvas (If you’re performing it from a project’s editor), Move to Folder or Download.

If what you want is to delete the files, click on the Trash button located to the right of the Bulk Actions.

Tip: Review your unused assets every so often in order to free up your storage and leave space for new material.
