The Truncate Text feature controls how many lines of text are displayed inside a text box. When enabled, any extra content is automatically hidden and replaced with an ellipsis (“…”), keeping your AI-generated or structured designs clean and visually consistent.
This is especially useful when working with dynamic content, templates, or AI-generated designs where text length may vary. Truncating text ensures your layout stays intact without breaking formatting or spacing.

Open your project in the Visme Editor.

Select the text box you want to modify.

The left-side menu will appear automatically, where you can access and customize the text settings.

Turn the Truncate Text Box switch ON.

Use the slider to set the number of visible text lines, ensuring your design’s layout and spacing remain consistent.
How Truncate Text Works
– It limits the number of visible rows in a text box.
– Additional rows are not deleted — just hidden.
– An ellipsis (“…”) appears at the end of the visible content.
– The layout, spacing, and formatting of your design remain protected.
Note: If you’re using Visme’s AI Writer to generate text for your designs, enabling Truncate Text is highly recommended. It helps keep your AI-generated content neat and prevents long text from breaking your layout or spacing. This ensures your designs look polished and professional every time, even with dynamic or unpredictable text lengths.
