Adding, Uploading, & Embedding Videos

Visme allows you to incorporate videos into your designs in multiple ways—upload your own video files, embed videos from platforms like YouTube or Vimeo, or search for stock videos directly within the editor. Adding video content to your project can boost engagement, explain concepts more clearly, and bring your story to life with movement and sound.

Adding a stock video

1
Open the Media tab in the left sidebar and click on Videos.

2
Browse through hundreds of available stock videos. You can preview any video before adding it to your project.

3
To insert a stock video, either drag and drop it onto your canvas or simply click on it to place it automatically.

Note: Once added, you can easily adjust the video settings, as well as trim or split the video.

Adding previously uploaded videos or upload a new video (Business or Enterprise plans only):

1
In the left sidebar, open the Media tab and click on Videos.

2
Choose a video from the My Videos tab (previously uploaded), or click Upload to add a new one from your device.

3
Preview any video before adding it to your project to make sure it’s the right fit.

4
To insert the video, simply drag and drop it onto your canvas or click once to place it automatically.

Note: If you’re a part of the Team or Enterprise plan, all uploaded videos by the team will be added to the My Files area, which allows all team videos to be available for all users. You can also create a Folder in My Files to organize all of your videos in one place for your team to reference and use with future projects.

To embed new videos to your Project from external online sources:

1
Open the Media tab from the left sidebar and click on Videos.

2
Go to the Embed tab to add external videos from platforms like YouTube, Vimeo, Wistia, Vidyard, or Loom.

3
Choose your preferred platform, then paste the video link into the bar at the top. A preview will appear showing the video’s title and description, and you can fine-tune the player and playback settings.

4
Once everything looks good, click Insert Video to add it to your project.

5
The video will automatically appear on your canvas, ready to be resized and customized.

Note: If you are using Vimeo videos, you can also search via keyboard instead of using the URL.
Our Video Upload feature is designed to handle a wide range of formats. Here is a list of all of the formats that we accept: PDF, JPEG, PNG, GIF, SVG, MP4, QT, WEBM, MKV, WAV or MP3.
