Accessibility and Visme

Users can create content in Visme according to accessibility best practices using one of our 1000s of templates and updating the color/fonts and other visual aspects of the overall design to suit their audiences and accessibility policies for content creation. Users can update the name of the objects within the Objects List, allowing site readers to read the name you provide the object as alt-tags.

Projects that are created in Visme and published as shareable links are readable by the most common screen reader extensions for browsers.

If you are experiencing an accessibility issue on Visme we’d love to hear your feedback. Please reach out to Visme’s 24/7 support team.

Testing the accessibility of your project:

Once a project is created and downloaded, other tools allow users to test the accessibility of their final content.

We suggest you use a third-party accessibility checker to ensure your audience can access and engage with your documents. There are many reputable checkers available online where you can check your PDF and a webpage (great for Visme’s published project URLs)  – here are a couple of them we recommend: PAVE document checker and AccessibilityChecker.org

Note: If working with Accessibility Checkers, please check with your organization or institutional standards regarding access and use their recommended sources for verifying the accessibility of your content.

We would love everyone to be able to use Visme and we’re highly committed to removing the usability barriers that may exist within our platform. We are continuously reviewing these aspects of using Visme according to accessibility standards and working to determine how we can help our users create content according to these guidelines.

Disclaimer

We are committed to making our website, platform, and content that can be created within Visme accessible to all audiences, including those with disabilities. Our goal is to provide an accessible website that conforms to Section 508 Guidelines and the World Wide Web Consortium’s Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). Some current content may not comply, and some content may meet only the minimum required compliance standards. This will be resolved in the future as we continue our efforts to monitor and maintain acceptable compliance levels. While every effort will be made, it is understood that creating accessible formats for some documentation and certain graphical renderings maintained by us may be technologically unfeasible or impractical.

While we strive to adhere to the accepted guidelines and standards for accessibility and usability, it is not always possible to do so in all website areas, particularly as it relates to content by third parties. We are not responsible for ensuring that third-party content created using Visme conforms to WCAG. We shall not be liable if they are inaccessible to individuals with disabilities.
