Adding Voiceovers to Improve Project Engagement

Adding a voiceover is a powerful way to guide your audience through your content, provide narration, and add a personal touch to your project. In Visme, you have several flexible options to add voiceovers to individual slides, depending on your needs and preferences.

Voiceover options available in Visme

You can add voiceovers using any of the following methods:

– Upload Your Own Audio File

– Record Your Own Voice Directly in Visme

– Use the AI-Powered Text-to-Speech Feature

Each method allows you to attach voiceover audio to specific slides or clickable objects, making it perfect for creating narrated presentations or guided tutorials. Here’s how:

Open the Animation Timeline by clicking on the Timeline button at the top of the editor.

You’ll see a view of all your project’s slides. Each thumbnail features a slide name, its duration, and a transition icon. Double-click on a slide to open an advanced view of the slide’s animation.

Click the arrow icon next to the microphone at the bottom right of the timeline, then select one of the available audio options to add your voiceover.

Note: Should you want to use the AI Powered Text-to-Speech, create this one first by opening the AI Hub or Media, and save it to your library to then attach it to the slide.

Note: You can also add a voiceover to the entire project by uploading it as background music. Learn how to do that here.

Tips for Better Voiceovers

– Record or upload audio slide by slide for better control over pacing and transitions.

– Use Text to Speech AI for quick drafts or when recording isn’t possible.

– Keep audio files under 5MB (MP3 or WAV format).

– Make use of the Play button to test your voiceover flow before publishing.

 

Note: To make your project more accessible, especially if you’re using voiceovers for narration, you can enable closed captions.
