Creating and Managing Slides

In order to have a successful presentation, you would need to create a simple, clear and amazing presentation that are unforgettable for your audience. Having excessive texts, small fonts size and hard to read fonts are what makes your presentation less effective! It’s all about minimal texts with lots of graphics and visuals.

There are two ways you can create a presentation using Visme. You can choose slides from our 800+ customizable slides templates (20+ categories) in the Slide Library or use the Legacy Templates.

You can now add, duplicate, remove, hide, copy, paste and modify the order of your slides with ease using Visme slide manager located at the right panel in the Visme Editor. You can also rename the title of each slide to help you organize your presentation better.

Although slides are often used in presentations, they are also very useful for other things like creating short animations, creating slideshows or galleries.

Creating Slides

To start a new project, first login to your account. You then click Create New on the top left of the screen in your Dashboard. Select Presentations visual content.

From the editor window of your project, use the Slides Panel to manage your slides with ease. To add slides to your presentation, click New Slide at the top right of your screen.

A window will pop up. In the This Template tab, you will see over 20+ categories of slides.

Note: You can explore for more slides options in the “My Library” and “More Templates” tabs.

First thing you need to do is to choose a specific category then click on any slide design that you wish to add. If you want to add a blank slide instead, click Blank Slide.

There are different ways you can add slide to your presentation. One way is to hover your mouse over to a specific slide that you want to add and then click Insert.

You can also select the slide(s) you would like to add your to your project by using the checkboxes on the left-hand side of each slide. Then, click on the “Insert” button at the top right corner of the slides section.

If you want to add all the slides of a section to your project, click on the “Insert All” button at the top right corner of the slides section.

Note: You’re allowed to add a maximum of 50 slides at once.

Or simply click-and-drag the slide over to the slide manager. Note: If you use this option, you can click-and-drag multiples slide to your slide manager before you exit the window.

Managing Slides

In the Slides Panel on the right of your screen, you can click on the gear icon to manage your slides.

Duplicating the slide can save you time if you just want to make some changes to your texts, icons, images while maintaining the same style. To duplicate your slide, click the gear icon and select Duplicate in the dropdown menu.

To duplicate multiple slides, hold down the shift key on your keyboard and click on the slides that you want to duplicate (This will select the slides). You then click on the gear icon and select duplicate in the dropdown menu. Your slides will then be duplicated.

By default, each slide has a name given to it. You may want to rename your slides which can serve as a good reference point for future use. To rename a slide, click on the name of the slide and start to edit your text.

There may be times when you want to keep slide hidden from the viewers. Hiding a slide is a good way to keep your work accessible when needed. For example, you may not want to present certain slides for particular audience in your presentation, in this case y0u can hide it. To hide your slide, click on the gear icon located on the top left of selected slide in the right panel and then click Hide Slide in the dropdown menu. You will see an eye icon with a slash on it indicating that a slide is hidden.

Tip: You are unable to see slides that are hidden when you Publish or Download your presentation.

To delete a slide, simply click Delete in the dropdown menu under the gear icon.

Tip: You may click an undo button right after you delete your slide to get your slide back. Otherwise, deleting a slide is a permanent action.
