Editing Audio Settings to Match Your Needs

Once you’ve added audio to your Visme project—whether it’s uploaded, recorded, selected from the audio library, or generated via AI—you can further customize its playback to better suit your presentation.

From the Media Panel

1
Once an audio file is attached to your project or slide, click on the 3 dots next to the audio file name.

2
To adjust settings, select More Audio Options. A settings panel will appear where you can control several aspects of how the audio plays.

Audio settings you can customize

These controls allow you to fine-tune how and when your audio plays. Keep in mind that these settings apply only to the selected audio track, so if you have multiple audio files across different slides or objects, each must be edited separately.

Fade In: Set how long it takes the audio to gradually increase in volume at the beginning. Enter the number of seconds you want the fade to last.

Fade Out: Set how long it takes the audio to fade out at the end. Helpful for avoiding abrupt stops in longer audio files.

Start Playing After: Set a delay in seconds for when the audio should begin playing after the slide or project loads. For instance, enter 5 if you want the audio to start five seconds in.

Volume: Adjust the volume level for your audio track. The default is 100% for full volume. Lower it for background music or to balance multiple tracks.

Loop Audio: Toggle this setting on to have the audio file automatically repeat. This is useful for short audio tracks that should play continuously, especially on longer slides or looping presentations.

From the Animation Timeline

You can also customize audio settings via the Animation Timeline:

1
Open the Timeline by clicking the Timeline button from the top menu.

2
Click the arrow icon next to the microphone at the bottom right.

3
From the dropdown menu, select Edit Audio to access customization options.

4
If the audio was added to a specific slide, you can use the sliders to trim its length or drag the audio block along the timeline to control exactly when it starts playing.

Pro Tip: You can apply different audio tracks to individual slides or even attach them to specific objects. Each one has its own customizable settings, giving you full creative control.
