How to add a carousel to your project in Visme

Adding an image carousel to your Visme project is a great way to display multiple images or videos in a compact, interactive or automated format. Carousels allow you to showcase content in a dynamic and visually appealing way, keeping your audience engaged without overwhelming them. You can create a customized carousel that fits your project’s style and needs in just a few steps.

Follow the steps below to learn how to add and customize an image carousel in Visme:

1
Open your project in the Visme Editor and navigate to the Media tab on the left-hand panel.

2
From there, select Carousel to get started. Once you’ve clicked on Carousel, you can choose between four different types of carousels. Whether you want to display images or videos, you’re in control.

Note: Only Pro and Enterprise plans have access to carousels. Pro carousel options are limited, while Enterprise can use any carousel format.

3
After adding the carousel, the settings menu will appear on the left. From there, you can begin customizing it. Start by selecting how many images or videos you want to display.

4
Next, select the images or videos you want to add to the carousel. You can upload them from your computer, choose from My Files, or select from the photo/video library. You can also drag and drop photos/videos into the carousel.

Settings

In the Settings menu, you can fine-tune your carousel’s appearance:

– Navigation: Select how users navigate the carousel via arrows, dots, or both.

– Thumbnail size: Choose between square, horizontal, or vertical thumbnails.

– Roundness: Adjust the roundness of the carousel’s corners.

– Hide thumbnail: Toggle this option to show or hide the thumbnails.

Transitions

In the Transition settings, you can control how your carousel behaves:

– Animation: Pick a transition effect for your images & videos: None, Fade, Horizontal, or Vertical.

– Autoplay: Use the autoplay switch to cycle through slides automatically.

– Pause on hover: Enable this feature to pause animation when a user hovers over the carousel if on autoplay

– Speed: Adjust the transition speed using the + or – buttons when autoplay is enabled.

– Show text: Activate this option to add a header and/or subtitle to your carousel. Customize the placement to show it at the top or bottom.
