Forms can be designed to provide subsequent resources or tools once someone completes and submits your form. For example: you may be using your form to share access to an online eBook, or perhaps you wish to send someone to another webpage when their form is submitted. Visme Forms allow you to hyperlink a URL to text within your form, or to a button or text within the thank you view that is pictured when the form submission is completed.
Here’s how to incorporate links within your Visme Form:
How to add links to any text on your form
You can easily insert links into any text on your form, giving users the option to click and access more information or resources. Here’s how:
Identify the text within the form to which you want to attach a link. Click and highlight the relevant text.
Look for the Link Icon in the toolbar. A dialog box will appear, prompting you to enter the Text and the URL you want to link to. Ensure that the URL is accurate and leads to the desired destination.
Click on the Save button to confirm.
How to include links on the Thank You view after the form is submitted
You can seamlessly incorporate a link on a button or within text on the Thank You view of your form, allowing users to download a resource or visit another URL upon form submission. Here’s how:
Open your form editor and navigate to the Thank You step at the bottom of the form editor window. If it includes a button, click on it to access editing options.
Note: If there’s no button, activate the Button switch in the left sidebar’s Content menu to include one.
Locate the Link Icon in the toolbar and click to begin the link insertion process. In the dialog box that appears, enter the text for the button and the desired URL.
Click the Save button to confirm the addition of the link to the Thank You step button.
Use the Preview mode to test the link and confirm that clicking the button redirects users to the specified URL.
Note: You can add a legal or marketing note/disclaimer to your form to make sure only those who agree can submit it. Find more details on how to do this here.
