How to add legal consent to your form

Ensuring legal compliance and transparency in data collection practices is important. In some cases, it is necessary to gain the consent of those submitting your forms as you may be gathering information/data from them.

This support article will review how you can include legal consent clauses in your forms.

To apply consent language that needs to be checked when your form is being submitted, follow these steps:

From your form editor, select the step at the bottom of your editor view where you want to add legal consent. Then, go to the Content tab on the menu on the left.

At the bottom of the Content tab, look for the Legal Consent dropdown. Click on it to see choices for adding a legal or marketing note/disclaimer to your form.

In the Legal Consent dropdown, choose the option you want and switch on the buttons for the elements you want to activate. You can select from Privacy Policy and Marketing Agreement, and you can change the text and type of consent if you need to.

If you want to change the text within the consent area to better fit your needs, click on it in the primary form view in the center of your screen to type in the appropriate changes you want.
