Stay in the flow, draft, and map on the fly, and expand your creativity to an infinite canvas using the Visme Whiteboard. With templates, text, shapes, freehand drawing, sticky notes, reactions, and more, you can quickly build flows, brainstorm, wireframe, draw and quickly move around your whiteboard.
It doesn’t matter whether you’re working individually or as part of a team, the whiteboard feature can help you give shape to visualize your ideas faster. Here’s how:
1
Once logged in to your Visme account, click on the “Create New” button and select “Whiteboard” from the dropdown menu.
2
You will access the Visme templates page, where you can select your favorite brainstorming, flows, or wireframes templates from our collection or create your whiteboard from scratch by selecting “Blank Template”.
3
Once you choose your favorite template, hover over it and click on the “Edit” button. You will be redirected to the editor dashboard of your project.
4
From there, use the taskbar at the bottom of the dashboard to add text, sticky notes, shapes, reactions, and freehand drawings. You can continue to use Visme’s other assets and design features from the left sidebar in your whiteboard, as well.
Choose any object and utilize the menu at the top to customize it according to your preferences.
5
To add a new page to your project, click on the Pages button on the taskbar. This will open the Pages menu on the right-hand side of the screen. From there, click on the New Page button and a new page will be automatically added to your project. You can then customize your new page by adding text, notes, and other design elements.
6
When your project is complete, you can easily
share, collaborate with your team or download your Whiteboard.
Using Copy/Paste Hotkeys in the whiteboard, the mouse cursor will point to the paste location.
Use the ‘Actions’ feature on Visme Whiteboards
One standout feature available on Visme Whiteboards is Actions – a functionality that empowers you to transform any object into interactive hotspots within your projects. This enables seamless engagement with your audience, as they can trigger pop-up content by simply rolling over or clicking on an object. Additionally, you have the flexibility to link objects to a Visme Project, Website, Email, or Social Media or coordinate objects to guide you through the whiteboard, facilitating smooth transitions between different areas of the whiteboard with just a click.
1
To start, select the object, shape, text, or icon that you want to use as a “button”. Then click on the Actions menu at the top right.
2
To link an object to a Visme Project, Website, Email, or Social Media, choose the desired link type from the dropdown menu and configure your preferences within the External Link tab. Click Apply to finalize the process.
3
To transform any object into interactive hotspots, in the Hotspot tab, decide whether you want to activate pop-up content on an Object or attach Video or Audio recordings to the object. Adjust your preferences accordingly and click Apply to complete the process.
4
To coordinate objects and guide your journey through the whiteboard, navigate to the Coordinate tab. Choose the object to which you want to travel, and if necessary, make modifications to the starting point object.
5
Adjust the movement speed between objects by selecting your preference from the dropdown menu. Afterward, click the Apply button to confirm your changes.
