Adapting Social Graphics

You’ve created a Social Graphic and uploaded it to your page or channel. Great! But what if you want to use the same graphic in other social media platforms, without having to start from scratch? The process describes how to do just that.

1
In your Dashboard, select the Social Graphic you created to serve as a template for other social media apps to use as well. click the more action menu icon and select Duplicate.

2
Retitle your duplicated project. For this example, we’re taking a Facebook post and modifying it for use with LinkedIn. When finished, click Continue. Select your new project to Edit.

3
Select that duplicate project and click Edit from the dashboard to move it into the Editor to adjust the social graphic for your next social channel where it will be posted. Click the hamburger icon at the top left, select Canvas Size, and cycle through the Tabs (Posts, Headers, Ads, and Custom) to find the new dimensions you need, or to enter a custom pixel dimension.

For this example, we’re adapting our Facebook Post (940×788) to work as a LinkedIn Post (1400×800).

Note: For reference, here is a chart of all of the available pixel dimensions we have for all different social media apps, blogs, and email graphics:

4
The background of the resized Canvas gives us a clue that we need to do some resizing. Our Facebook Post graphic is taller and narrower than what LinkedIn prefers for Posts. We can quickly remedy this in the next step.

5
Utilizing tools such as Grouping and arranging and aligning objects, you can easily select, resize, and place your objects as desired in the new canvas size. now you’ve transformed your existing Social Graphic in minutes or even seconds!

6
Select Download from the top right and choose the desired format. If your graphic is animated, check out these resources for downloading as GIF or Video.

7
Post your new Social Graphic in the desired app to preview the result in context.
