Creating Charts

Visme allows you to create custom charts and graphs to visualize your data. You can easily switch between chart options and modify settings for efficient data visualization and design.

1
Select Data from the left sidebar. Click Charts & Graphs at the top.

2
Types of Charts will appear for you to select from (Bar, Pie, Donut, Lines & Dots, Combo, & Other). Double-click or click and drag the type of chart/graph you want onto the canvas.

3
The Chart Data tab will appear on the left by default. You can change or input the names and values of your data here. To change the color of a set of data, click the Color title above that data’s column heading (ex. A, B, C, etc.)

4
The Settings tab allows you to change all sorts of options for your chart or graph’s Heading, Axis, Legend, Values, and Appearance. If you’re using a Combo chart, those options will appear here, as well. Click each option to explore more ways to customize your chart or graph.

5
If you decide to change the overall style of your chart or graph, use the menu at the top when the object is selected. There are icons you can select just to the right of the Settings tab that will quickly change your chart or graph to a basic template for a Combo Charts, Dotted Graph, Bar Graph, Pie Chart, or Line Graph, as well as a More Charts tab to explore. Click the one you’d like and adjust your graph using the Chart Data and Settings tab.

6
With your chart’s values, data, headings, axis, legend, and appearance set, preview your changes by clicking anywhere on your project.

Note: Visme’s Charts and Graphs are animated and interactive by default when you add them to your project. You may turn off animation and the hover effect within the Settings of the chart engine. In order to support animated and interactive charts and graphs, you will want to use the following formats for sharing your project with your audiences:

  • Published URLs
  • Embed your project on a website
  • HTML5

If you choose to download your project as an MP4 or GIF Video, your chart will remain static in the video and will not be animated.
