Is Visme really free?
Yes. The Basic plan is free with no time limit and no credit card required. It includes access to core design features, a selection of templates, and 10 AI credits per month. Download options, premium assets, and advanced sharing features are available on paid plans. See visme.co/pricing for the full comparison.
Can I edit my project after publishing it?
Yes. You can publish at any time — even if you’re not done — and keep editing as often as you need. Just click Share in the top-right corner of the editor and republish when you’re ready.
The shareable link stays the same after every update. Anyone who has the link will automatically see the latest version — no need to reshare it.
Can I make my project private?
Yes. After publishing, you can set a password from the Share panel — anyone with the link will need to enter it to view the project. You can keep editing and republishing at any time without losing the password protection.
You can also keep a project private without publishing it. In that case, only collaborators you’ve specifically shared it with can view or access it.
Can I duplicate a project?
Yes. From your Dashboard, hover over any project, click the Menu icon, and select Duplicate from the dropdown. Give the copy a unique name so you can find it easily later.
Does my project save automatically?
Yes. Visme saves your project automatically as you work — you’ll see a Saving… indicator in the top-left of the editor. No manual save is required.
Note: If you notice the Saving… indicator is stuck, stop making changes and refresh your browser. This can happen if there’s a temporary network interruption.
Can I embed my project on a website or use it offline?
Yes to both. To embed, click Share in the top-right corner of the editor, select Embed, and publish. Copy the embed code and paste it into the HTML of your website — the same way you’d embed a YouTube video.
To use offline, download your project as HTML5 from the Download menu (Present Offline → HTML5). This preserves all animations and interactive elements and can be opened in any browser without an internet connection. You can also download as PDF or JPG, though these are static formats and do not include animations.
Note: External embedded content such as YouTube videos or third-party embeds requires an internet connection and will not load offline.
If I delete a project, is it permanently removed?
Yes. Deleted projects are permanently removed from your account and cannot be recovered. Only delete projects you no longer need.
Are uploaded files shared with other Visme users?
Yes. Any files you upload to your Visme account — including images — are stored in My Files and are accessible to other users on the platform.
Do you offer a lifetime license?
No. Visme plans are based on monthly or yearly subscriptions. Visit visme.co/pricing to learn more.
