Commenting on Visme Projects

When content is being created, we often need input from other stakeholders and subject matter experts. Visme’s commenting feature allows unlimited people to provide their suggestions for changes to the content through visual markup. These features help teams save time completing their projects, avoiding the loss of time spent on back-and-forth emails/messages, and even reducing the need for meetings.

Let’s review how your team can optimize workflow efficiency through comments and achieve project outcomes more quickly.

Note: While you don’t need a Pro plan to comment on Visme projects, please be aware that a Pro plan is necessary if you wish to create private links in order to share your projects and receive comments or invite others via email to comment on your project. Once a private project link is shared with others, the individuals that look to leave comments will need to have a Visme account, which can have a free or paid subscription, and they will need to be logged into their Visme account in order to post their comments to the project.

1
To comment on a Visme project, you first need to be asked by other users to collaborate, either by receiving an email invitation or a shareable link to view and comment on the project online. Users in Visme can create a link for commenting and share it with others, making it easy for multiple stakeholders to provide their input and feedback directly on the project.

2
Open the project you were asked to collaborate on by clicking on the Open in Visme button from the email received or by clicking the project URL/link provided.

3
Once you’re viewing the project through your browser, look for the Comment Icon located at the bottom right of the control bar. If you’re not logged, clicking on it will trigger a pop-up window that allows you to log into your Visme account. Once you’ve logged into your Visme account, the comments menu will become visible.

Note: You will need at least a Visme free account to input comments. If you don’t have one yet, create one here.
Note: Anonymous commenting is available in Visme for Enterprise plans. If you are eager to learn more about Anonymous commenting and Visme’s Enterprise plans, please reach out to our team.

4
Take a moment to explore the variety of available annotation styles. You can pin, circle, point, or draw on any part of your Visme design to leave visual feedback, suggested edits, and comments. Simply click on your preferred style to activate it, and you can begin using it right away.

5
Click anywhere on the project to trigger the comment window. Enter your comment and click Post to share it with others. You can tag other collaborators by typing in the @-sign and typing in the person’s name to trigger them being added to the comment and notified via email of the comment you created to their attention.

6
When you’ve finished leaving comments, simply click on the Comment Icon again to close the comments section.
