Using 3D Charts to Visualize Data

3D charts are a great way to add depth and visual interest to your data, making it easier for your audience to compare values and identify trends. In Visme, you can quickly create and customize 3D charts to match your project’s style and data requirements.

Follow the steps below to get started:

Click on the Data tab from the left sidebar. Then, at the top, select the Charts & Graphs category.

You’ll see different types of Classic Charts appear. At the top, click on 3D Charts to filter and view only the 3D chart options available.

Browse through the available 3D chart styles and choose the one you want. Click on it to add it directly to your project, or drag and drop it into place.

The Chart Data tab will open on the left by default. Here, you can type in or paste your data, editing both the names and the values to suit your needs.

To customize the color of a specific data set, click on the Color title above that data’s column heading.

You can also import data from an external source by clicking the Import Data tab.

Click on the Settings tab at the top right corner of the Chart Data panel. From here, you can update your chart’s heading, axis labels, legend, values, and overall appearance.

Within the appearance setting you have specific settings that only apply to 3D graphs, such as:

A- Graph orientation – Choose between right, left or front view

B- Rotate – When enabled, the chart will slowly rotate on its Y-axis

C- Lock in place – This will prevent users from being able to rotate your graph.

D- Show Background

At the bottom of your graph you have two icons, one to rotate the view and one to reset the position.

With your chart selected, use the style menu at the top of the screen to pick a different design variation. Continue fine-tuning your chart using the Chart Data and Settings tabs until it looks exactly how you want.
