Adding Fields to your Visme Form

Creating an effective form involves selecting the right fields to gather the information you need. With Visme Forms, you can easily customize your forms by adding various types of fields tailored to your specific requirements:

Name: Collect users’ full names for personalized communication.

Email: Gather email addresses to build your contact list or send follow-up information.

Phone: Collect phone numbers for direct communication.

Address: Obtain physical addresses for mailing purposes or location-based services.

Short Answer: Allow users to provide brief responses to open-ended questions.

Long Answer: Enable users to give detailed answers or feedback.

Single Choice: Let users select one option from a list of choices.

Multiple Choice: Allow users to select multiple options from a list.

Dropdown: Provide a list of options in a compact dropdown menu.

Date Picker: Enable users to select a specific date from a calendar.

Appointment: Schedule appointments by allowing users to pick a date and time slot.

Rating: Collect ratings by letting users assign a score to a product or service.

Time: Gather specific time information from users.

Country: Let users select their country from a predefined list.

In this article, we will guide you through the process of adding these fields to your Visme forms, helping you create comprehensive and effective forms for any purpose.

Once you start with your Visme Form, access the Content tab at the top left corner of the Create page of your form.

Should you want to add a field to an existing step select it on the bottom thumbnails or select any item of that step on the left menu.

From there, click on the + Add Field button in the Forms Fields section. You will see all the available fields. Select one or more fields to add.

After selecting the fields, click on the Add Field button. A dropdown menu will appear, allowing you to choose whether to add the fields to the current step or as separate steps. Select the desired option, and the fields will be automatically added to the form.

That’s all! The fields have been successfully added. If necessary, edit the text and style directly from the card or the Style tab and rearrange the order of the fields by dragging and dropping the field on the left menu.

Tip: Once you add your fields, click on the gear icon next to it on the left menu to customize the options and determine if you want to show the title, and if this is a required field.
