Creating Interactive Forms

Our online form builder expedites the process of generating and embedding forms that gather submissions and data online while showcasing interactive design to enhance your conversation rates. Let’s dive in and review how you can elevate your data collection game:

Once you begin working on your Visme Form, navigate to the form editor and click on the card you wish to edit. Initiate your customization process using the options available in the left sidebar. From there, you will have the ability to edit both the Content and Style of your form.

Content

From the Content tab, you can edit the details you wish to include on the question card and also determine the form fields you want to incorporate. Here’s how:

First, activate the switches of the elements you wish to include in the Card structure. Here you can introduce your logo, an engaging heading, an action button, and much more.

Now, it’s time to add Form Fields for the information you want to collect on the selected card. Activate the switches for the fields you want to include in the Form Fields area. Repeat this process for all the cards.

Use the Legal Consent dropdown at the bottom to add a legal or marketing note/disclaimer to your form. This will ensure that only people that agree can submit the form.

Now that your form structure is set, it’s time to focus on the style. From the Content Tab, hover over the element you want to customize, and click on the Edit Style button. This action will redirect you to the Style tab to make the desired changes.

Note: Alternatively, you can directly access the Style tab, hover over the selected style, click on the Edit Style button, and choose the element you wish to customize from there.

Style

From the Style tab, you can customize the appearance of all the elements included in your form, such as headings, icons, text, and more. Here’s how:

To start, navigate to the Style tab, hover over the form style, and apply one of our pre-created styles or customize it by clicking the Edit Style button.

You will see a list of all the elements in the form that can be customized. Click on the arrow next to the element you want to edit, and proceed to customize it as you prefer.

If your form includes a cover, customize it by clicking on it. Once clicked, a menu will appear, allowing you to upload your own cover from your computer by clicking the Upload Cover button.

When adding a cover photo, use a 1.29 ratio for height x width. Please ensure your project size is 816× 1056px, which is equivalent to a document size of 8.5 inches x 11 inches.
You can create a custom-size project in Visme to design your cover from a blank canvas or use an existing project template available. You can update the project size accordingly to meet the size you need for the cover photo upload. After exporting, check the size to ensure it’s under 500KB.

From the Settings button, you can edit the uploaded image in the Edit Image tab or customize how the cover will be displayed in the Style tab.

Once you’ve completed the above steps, your Visme Form structure is now ready. Congratulations on your personalized and tailored form!
