How to add an additional Y Axis to Charts in Visme

In Visme, adding an additional Y-axis to your charts allows you to present more complex datasets clearly and effectively, making it easier for your audience to understand multi-variable data. This feature is particularly useful for comparing different types of information within the same chart, giving viewers a better view of your data. Follow these steps to get started:

Note: Adding a secondary Y-axis is available for Bars, lines, dots, area, and Combo Charts.

Choose the chart you want to add the additional Y-axis to.

By default, the Chart Data tab appears on the left when a chart is selected. Click on the Settings tab in the top-right corner of the Chart Data menu. Here, you can adjust your chart’s Heading, Axis, Legend, Values, and Appearance.

In the Axis section, locate the Add Right Y Axis option and click the Add button. A text box will appear, allowing you to enter a name or description for the new axis.

Click the Settings gear icon next to the new text box. This opens a menu where you can adjust the value, appearance and settings for the additional Y-axis.
