Have you created a smaller custom design with objects, shapes and/or text that you want to be able to incorporate into multiple projects and use again in the future? Visme provides many design format types, 1000s of templates and design assets, and one universal feature that works across all of our formats is My Blocks. This article will show you how to take a selection of what you’ve created on the canvas in one project, save it, and create a resource that can be easily added to any other projects as you see fit:
How to Create Your Own Custom Content Blocks
1
In the editor window, select all of the content you wish to use as a content blocks by clicking and holding down the mouse, then dragging to select. Additionally, you can select objects individually by clicking on the first object, then holding down the shift key to select the rest one-by-one until all desired objects are selected.

2
Once all of your objects are selected, navigate to the top left of the editor and select Save to my blocks.

3
A window will appear for you to change the name of your content block, create a new folder or select an existing folder for it to Save In, and assign the block a Tag if you wish, then click Ok.

4
Once the block has been created, you can view it by navigating to the Basics tab on the left side of the editor window and selecting My Blocks at the bottom of the menus. If you click the menu icon at the bottom right of each block, you’ll notice you can Add to Canvas, Add to Favorites, Edit it, or Delete it.

5
You can view your saved blocks as a full list, by the Tags you’ve created for them, or the Favorite blocks you have set. This is an easy way to prioritize your frequently used blocks.

6
When you’ve ready to add one of your custom content blocks to another project, head back into the Basics > My Blocks and select it, then click and drag it onto the canvas, resizing it and formatting it for the proper placement.
