Set & Share Permissions to Projects


Visme allows you to easily share content with other users and decide who gets to view, comment or edit your content. This way you can:

– Create a project that serves as a template so other users can use it and create new content from it.

– Start a project (such as a Presentation or an Infographic) and let another user take it over, finish it for you and/or make adjustments that are needed.

– Allow others to comment and mark up the project with suggested edits for the project owner to consider and apply.

Note: Sharing Editable Content is a premium feature that requires a Team plan.

Inside your Dashboard, select the project you wish to share, click the menu button on the bottom right, and select Share Project.

In the window that loads, note that you can add people by email address and set certain permissions such as Can View or Can Comment. For Can Edit, the user must belong to your team, and you can select their name from the drop-down window.

In addition to adding individual users for access to a project, you can also choose to add entire User Groups from your Team, such as Sales Manager. These groups and user roles can be set up by your administrator in the Manage My Team area.

Note that you can also set parameters for all users, such as Anyone with the link, Only people on my team, and Restricted to specific people (similar to file-sharing settings in other platforms such as Google Drive, OneDrive and Dropbox). You can also edit the permissions for the users you’ve added previously, or even Revoke access.
